What you mean is that you have more possibilties how to hack something. Aimbots work the same no matter what netcode is used. So read my post again, I know very well how aimbots are made. (And most people are bad at it, thats why skilled players are often called cheaters). Only a human could decide if something was physically possible within the range of human abilities. You cannot kick someone from the server because he is able to do almost perfect 180° turns. So on the server it looks like it might be physically possible. This information is not passed in detail to the server because it is compressed and its transmitting rate decreased to save bandwidth. It cannot verify if a mouse input was possible like 180° turn and headshot in one frame (Most cheats that want to stay undetected prevent those moves anyway). The server can validate if something was at all possible but thats all. An aimbot is completely client side because it modifies mouse input or view direction on your client, not on the server. Everyone I've seen who makes cheats or cheat protection has said differently, and logically speaking, from personal experience, it most certainly is easier to change something that is completely client side, as opposed to beating external server verification. So you talk to hackers that make cheats? I doubt you know even one.Īnyway, its wrong.
